Conservation and restoration using traditional and natural materials.

Culross Palace, Fife

We are a small traditional building company in the Scottish Highlands. We have 25 years of experience working with stone, lime and clay. With a sound understanding of traditional construction techniques we can work as a main contractor or specialist sub-contractor. We specialise in lime mortar pointing, traditional stonework and lime harling. We had premises in Fife for many years but we are now based just north of Inverness and working throughout the Highlands and Islands.

We have carried out work on a range of publicly and privately owned buildings: mausoleums, estate walls, cottages, royal palaces and prehistoric monuments. These include ancient monuments and listed buildings, we often work alongside public bodies such as The National Trust for Scotland and Historic Environment Scotland to achieve the best repair approach for each situation.

We are a very small team of two, providing consistent high quality workmanship and personal attention on each job with close communication with clients. Combining this level of service with sound contract management means we provide good value for money and a high level of client satisfaction.
